Welcome to the Laser Party. We are made of sex.

You, on the other hand, are the embodiment sadness and are typified by your longing to matter. This amuses us. Fret not, however, for you can easily overcome this condition. In order to become the human concept of Joy, as we have done, you can do one of two things. The first is to undertake a journey to Ancient Ademadegon and return with the the 3 heads of the Awesomegret which roosts in the Crystal Caverns of Caramel Colors. Or, two, register on this site. They are basically the same thing, really.

Alright, if this isn't new information to any of you then I hate you guys for not telling me about it.

Just discovered The Dear Hunter on Last Fm. They're writing a conceptual rock opera that currently has 3 acts, each album being an act. It is amazing. So much instrumentation, so many rich harmonies, and so prog.

If you take a listen, I highly recommend you start with Act I and go from the beginning. I've spent the past week getting used to Act I and just got a hold of Act II. If I like them enough I will purchasing all 3 Acts.

Edit: Also, with the Act III deluxe edition is an art book and illustrations for Act II. Love it.

Take note that this guy was in a really gay band called the Receiving End of Sirens. He realized that the stuff he was writing didn't fit with the [gay] genre of the band so he broke off. I like this much better.

Edit: Hm. Act II is pretty bland in the middle. Nothing very memorable. Liked Act I better. But an interview with the band said that they spent too much time dicking around in Act II, and Act III is much more to the point.*

*This is assuming anyone cares

Eh. Not really my kind of music. It's not bad by any stretch of the imagination. I just don't get anything out of it.
"Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world - "No, you move.""

Yeah, it's not for everyone. I'm just really into conceptual stuff like that. Reminds me of Dream Theater's Scenes from a Memory Part 2.

Also, they employ such a variety of instruments. That's probably what I love the most. There's hidden brass and strings everywhere.

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I dislike the concept. Hell, one of my favorite albums of all time is a concept album. Actually, I imagine that if I listened to this in the right mood, I might really like it. I'm just not in that mood right now.

So far I like everything except for the guy's voice. Reminds me of singer for The Mars Volta. I fucking hate The Mars Volta.

Music is pretty excellent though.

No matter how hard I look, I cannot find the art book. I joined a fan forum that the band actually talks on. I'm going to ask them if the art book was limited edition.

Then I'm going to make my own illustrations for them and get rich. Right?
