Is the rolling of dice a random event? What makes it random? Is it the unpredictability that makes it random? I personally don't believe we have free will, but that's based mostly on speculation. Freedom = Chaos and I don't believe that there is anything truly chaotic or random in nature. Everything is predictable even if our minds or tools can't predict/understand them I am Nicholas Cage

I believe in determinism. from that leading into the more humanistic debate, i believe there is no true free will in which we are able to do things outside of what is already in motion to take place (as all things are bound by the laws of physics and we exist within these rules), even our thoughts are complex neurological reactions which occur physically and so also are predetermined from another perspective, free will is something which people can have varying degrees of mastery depending on their self motivation, awareness, clarity of thought (basically, their mental acuity) so my answer is we don't have free will, but we also can have complete free will, it depends on definition. though i guess the second definition is mostly just the ability of a person to put will into action
