A short description of it would be a 3rd person anime-style shooting game with the 3 things every good anime needs: Guns. Giant Swords, and Grenades. yes. awesome.

I'm addicted to this game now, I'm level 6 and 34% to 7. I use Dual SMG's and a rifle, nades, and a sword. Acct: Obligatory

butterflies imo Posts: 3,861 Group: Administrator Member #1 Joined: July 19, 2004	Aye, the game used to suck back when there was only one map and gametype, FFA, but now theres like 7 or 8 huge awesome maps, FFA, Teams, Swords, and more. I think I'm the same class as oblig, but I dunno the names of the guns. I'm halfway to level 8, just finished first in a swords match with about 10 people, all higher level than me. WOOOO I <3 swords. But yeah, everyone needs this game. I recomend checking out the main site for instructions on how to play, since me and mark had to figure most of those out on our own...

But yeah, the people who made The Guild Hall made a gunz fansite and it's awesome. This is a link to the newbie help thread HERE. It's good to read even if you've played before, because it tells you how to do things like manage friends lists and clans and stuff. Obligatory, added you to friends, do the same for TehChancels. We should try and join the guild hall's clan once they make it.

For one thing, they're fixing the 999 ping error, which is currently caused by people's firewalls, and it should be done by tomorrow sometime. In other news, the koreans are currently beta-testing the quest mode of the game, which will be a single-player mode that will probably be an alternate method of leveling up and gaining items and bounty instead of actually fighting real people (think GW but not gay). Here's a link to this thread on another forum where they show pictures of the monsters currently in quest mode (they look fuggin awesome): HERE. In other news, the guild hall admins who made the gunz fansite may be starting a clan, which we should totally join.

Port forwarding if you use a router Login to your router and forward to the ports. If you dont know how to do this, call your router's tech support and they'll get you squared away. In most cases, the router maker's website will have live chat, so calling wont be necessary. 2. If you just joined the game and everyone has 999 ping, leave the game and rejoin. For some reason, every few games I get 999 ping problems and rejoining the game does the trick. Note: you must leave to the lobby, leaving to the waiting room wont do the trick. 3. Try turning off your firewall or setting it to let gunz through. This is the most frequent cause of the problem. And I'm level 10.

Also, it sucks when someone's an assassin, cuz they knock you down, then switch to guns and kill you while you're on the ground. It especially sucks when there's assassins in gladiator games, cuz they do this lock that makes it so you can never get up. Of course, if you're a ninja like me you've figured out how to prevent that, and kill them when they try to do that. In other news, I'm level 11, have the level 10 sword (not duals) that i <3. It was awesome, cuz I was playing at heroes today and i got in this gladiator match where everyone was supposed to /bow and stuff before engaging in combat. Of course, i would charge my sword, then rush in and kill both of em before they knew what was happening. They tried to boot me 4 or 5 times, but never succeeded. It was awesome, cuz they all decided to team up against me and I still rocked their faces, getting over twice as much exp and kills as everyone else on the scoreboard. Bill was telling me things to say too, like when they told me to bow before battle I went "I'm american, I'll do what i want!" and after the match (which I got 1st in by a HUGE margin) I said "you all suck", new line "I'm american", new line "goodbye" Ooooooohhhhh gunz ;)

It was pretty sheap on friday, you could pay 10 bucks to play all day and that included stay late fee. But I heard they might not do it like that anymore soon. And I learned something about getting into servers whn it says "there's too many people". Just hold down your enter key and after a few tries itll let you in. Dont stop holding down enter, because it WILL let you in at some point, usually pretty fast.

Posts: 4,992 Group: Members Member #4 Joined: July 28, 2004	im lvl 7 now, and for some reason im getting major fps drops FPS! im like WTF?! its not a graphically inhanced game or whatever and it used to never lag bfore but when i see someone shoot my fps goes down to one, it pisses me off so much i dont feel like playing it anymore i even lowerd the graphics and it still lagged

If that doesn't work, switch your channel (theres always 2 channels for each level group, then theres the 3 free servers). If THAT doesnt work, change your server. I'm usually on two for some reason, it almost always works for me. I'm almost level 12, and I havent played anything but gladiator for a few days now...so tired of assassins knocking me down then SMG'ing me while im down...

When I see them do their initial lunge (they usually miss even if I don't react fast enough the 1st time) Then I just jump and shoot like mad, or if they're far I just do normal stuff..but when they get in lunge range....Jump and shoot like mad! I have about 1000 bounty..I'm saving for the 2x Walcom SMG's req level 13 I think...but I can spend some considering they cost 1350 and by that time I'll have lots. Chancey, do you know if AP is really effective??
